MUSICAL ROMANCE WINS ALLOWANCE GRASS RACE
01/23/10
HOUSE
Musical Romance, with jockey Rajiv Maragh up, "flew" through the stretch to just get up in the final strides to win the 1 1/16 grass allowance at Gulfstream. Rajiv Maragh allowed Musical Romance to settle back in 7th position into the first turn. Musical Romance started to move forward on the hedge to the 2nd turn. Rajiv Maragh encountered tight traffic coming out of the second turn and had to steady and wait for an opening. At the 1/8 pole Musical Romance got past the tight quarters and Rajiv angled her to the outside. Once in the clear and on the outside, Musical Romance kicked into another gear and ran down the leader in the final strides.
What a thrilling performance by this talented filly who continues to improve with every start.
Next on the schedule for Musical Romance will be a stakes race. Either the 1 1/16 turf "Coconut Grove" ($125,000) at Gulfstream on February 14th or the 1 1/16 synthetic "OBS Championship" ($100,000) in Ocala on February 15th.
Congratulations to Adam Lazarus (Gen. Mgr.) and each and every partner of Pinnacle Stables on the superb performance of MUSICAL ROMANCE.
