TEMO'S DREAM FINISHED FIRST IN THE NEEDLES BUT GETS DQ'D TO SECOND

Frank and Rosemary Vicino endured a very tough disqualification of their STAR 3yo "Temo's Dream" in the Needles Stakes. Make no mistake about it, Temo's Dream was easily the best horse when he hit the wire first in the Needles Stakes. Temo was going past the 2nd place finisher when he drifted into his lane. Temo was quickly straightened out and drew away finishing 2 lengths in front.
The Stewards normally will not will not take down a horse that was obviously going to win even if a foul occurs, especially in a Stakes race. For some reason the Stewards decided to take away Vicino Racing Stables Stakes win and place Temo's Dream in 2nd position.
Take nothing away from Temo's Dream who ran an extraordinary race and proved he is on top of the three year old division at Calder.
It was a day of extremes for the Vicino's, who saw their exceptional 3 year old hit the wire first in the "Needles" and then have that joy taken away on a "QUESTIONAL CALL".
