HOUSE
WOW !!!!!!! What a performance by Temo's Dream in Sunday's 1m,70yds allowance feature. Temo"s Dream, with jock Eddie Dominguez up, won by 9 lengths in an impressive 1:43.4. After breaking sharply from the gate, Tem'o tracked in second position until the 1/2 pole when he took command. Eddie Dominguez got Temo's Dream to relax in the lead until the 1/4 pole from where he exploded through the stretch to win by a widening 9 lengths.
The improvement in Frank Vicino's 3yo has been dramatic, and is now being pointed for the "American Dreamer Stakes" on 7/11/09. With any addition improvement, Temo's Dream could become another "STAKES" horse in the Vicino Racing Stable's group of horses.
Stakes next for Temo's Dream
Kaplan is planning on trying his much improved Temo's Dream in stakes company next, following the 3-year-old's 8 1/4-length allowance win here last Sunday. Temo's Dream, a gelded son of Pure Precision, earned a 95 Beyer Speed Figure for his victory, despite swerving in and out while well clear in late stretch.
"He tends to shy from things, which is what happened at midstretch the other day," Kaplan said. "That probably cost him another couple of lengths. He might have run a 100 Beyer if he had kept a straight course."
